Ai art generators, thieves of our art?
The last few years have brought a boom in Ai art generators. They have been shown to mainstream through trends, controversy and rising attention drawn to them. Many artists have become unhappy with this outcome, worried for their passion and their future in the world of art.
Ai image generators work by gathering input to produce and output. this input is in the form of data sets, within these data sets lay billions of private, mainstream, commercial and copyrighted images.
All this stolen art and images is justified by big Ai companies, of simply being for research purposes and non-profit. When inn fact, much of those companies have ways of profiting, despite what has been stated.
its disappointing to think that we artists or anyone who chooses to share on an online space will be used without permission, in ways so easily justified.
No matter how advanced Ai will become it will never be able to reproduce the same human feel to an artwork as we artists create
